General Note: If you aren't doing too well on the quizzes, don't get too distressed about your performance yet. Use these quizzes the way they were meant to be used - as a means of providing rapid feedback to you about where you might have weaknesses so that you can correct those weaknesses before the exams. Make sure that you fully understand what the answers are and why they are the answers - if you don't, then ask. Do NOT treat them as weekly hoops that you have to jump through that get you (or lose you) a few points that have some impact on your final grade. Don't just get your quiz back and shove it in your notebook or throw it away and forget about it. If this happens to be your attitude then it is probably reflective of an overall attitude that says that once you get done with a course that you shouldn't have to worry about actually remembering anything from that course. It should not be surprising that such an attitude could be the primary reason that you are doing poorly on the quizzes in the first place. It's a vicious cycle that only you can break.
